Templates allow you to quickly apply preset, accessible layouts to your presentation.
The following PowerPoint templates are available from the Vet School:
Applying the template to an existing presentation
You will need:
- PC or Mac running the latest version of PowerPoint
- Existing PowerPoint presentation saved as a .pptx file
- PowerPoint template file .potx file

How to apply a template to an existing presentation in PowerPoint
Download the correct template. Ensure it is the most up-to-date version.
Brief instructions
In PowerPoint, select the Design ribbon tab.
PC – To the right of the design options, select the bottom arrow.
Mac – Hover your mouse over the bottom of the design options and a small down arrow will appear.
Click the arrow and select ‘Browse for Themes…’ in the drop-down window.
Select the template file (.potx) to be imported into your PowerPoint Presentation.
Go to Home in the ribbon bar, and select Layout. Select the type of layout you want on the current slide.
Important: Press Reset to apply the template stylings.
Note: This may change the layout of slide. You will need to manually check everything is in the right place.
