After you upload your Desktop Recorder (Kaltura capture) recording, or a video file, to Media Hopper Create, you must make sure you add a description and extra meta data for it.
Find your video in Media Hopper Create
- Visit the Media Hopper Create page (Opens in new tab)
- Find the user menu icon at the far top-right. Click it and select ‘Login’. Log in with EASE.
- From the same user menu at the far top-right, select My Media.
- Click on the video you want to edit the description of.
- From the ellipsis (…) menu, below-right of the video, select Edit.
Fill in the description and meta data
- In the Details tab:
- Enter the Name and a Description of your video.
- In Tags section enter the tags exactly as they appear below (after typing the first few letters, suggestions should appear). Make sure you select the full titles of tags, don’t abbreviate them. Most of the time you won’t create new tags:
- ‘the royal (dick) school of veterinary studies’
- (if for the FY Selective Rotations) ‘final year selectives’
- (if for FYP) ‘final year prep’
- (if for eCore) ‘ecore’
- Other phrases related to the content, e.g. ‘cardiology’, ‘dermatology’, ‘farm’, ‘bovine’, ‘equine’ etc.
- In Publisher, enter your name.
- In Licence Type select ‘All rights reserved The University of Edinburgh’.
- Read the statement just above the ‘Save’ button about automated subtitles. Tick the ‘I agree to the above statement’ box.
- Click the Save button.
- Click the Collaboration tab, and click the ‘+ Add Collaborator’ button:
- Depending on your programme, paste the following group(s) into the user or group name box, and select the option that appears after a search:
- BVM&S: Vet_Digital_Education_Unit and Vet_BVM&S_VTO.
- Global Academy AFS: VET_UG_GAAFS_VTO
- Postgraduate: Vet_Digital_Education_Unit and the associated programme group.
- Tick the Co-Editor and Co-Publisher boxes.
- Click the Add button (no need to Save again).
- Depending on your programme, paste the following group(s) into the user or group name box, and select the option that appears after a search:
